Overview
The ‘Spectrometers’ tab, accessible by clicking on the corresponding icon, provides mostly information rather than controls because most of the parameters are already set. This is why so many of these parameters are greyed-out. However, users and FSEs have access to this information on spectrometers.
Spectrometer
Spectro(meter) Type (Vertical/Inclined), Pressure (High/Low), Turret Type (2*1/2*2) and other geometrical parameters are set here and cannot be adjusted or modified by the analysts.
The Window Coeff(icient) used in differential mode is set to 3, and its maximum value of 4 corresponds to the integral mode.
The Gas Type for the counter can be chosen from a drop-down menu, from Argon to Krypton or Xenon.
As for the stage, Minimum and Maximum actually define the physical limits of each individual spectrometer. A mechanical Offset will be indicated, as well as the current Position of these individual spectrometers, as usual in a (10000 x Sin θ) value.
The Time and Count Preset displayed values were set in the SX-Control program under the WDS sub-panel.
Base Line calculation coefficient (mV) values are also set by default depending on the counting mode (integral/differential).
Under the ‘Eds Color’ option, the color used to identify monochromatic crystals in the Peaksight environment (Utilities, SX-SAB). One click on the ‘Wds Cursor Offset’ button displays the peak position modifications according to the theoretical positions (done with SX-Results.
